Mr Budd asked us to supply him with a full quotation for a home gym and office space constructed within a bespoke garden room, which would be designed to meet the size and space of the garden area so that it sat sympathetically within the garden.

Our quotation for the garden room which measures 3.5m x 10m 35sqm was £ 700.00 per square metre which totalled to be £ 24,500.00. This is an enormous amount of money for anyone to find, however if you calculate the savings that this new garden room created to our clients outgoings then it becomes very clear that this is a great money saving investment.

Original outgoings.

  • Two gym memberships for the client and his wife. £ 120.00 per month x 12 months = £ 1,440.00
  • Rental of an office unit on a nearby industrial estate. £ 1,140.00 per month x 12 months = £ 13,680.00
  • Business rates on the rented office. £ 126.00 per month x 12 months = 1,512.00
  • Utility costs on the rented business premises £ 69.00 per month x 12 months = £ 828.00

Hidden Savings

Also saving money on fuel getting back and forth to the rented office and gym they were able to save at least £ 17,460.00 in their first year after two years the garden room was paid for and they had saved an additional £ 10,420.00. No more rush hour traffic or busy gyms to contend with they also found that they had much more time to relax.
